News

  1. Add an EPFL News block.
  2. In the right column, make sure that the Block tab is active, if not, click on it.
    • From the drop-down menu, select the desired news channel.
      The menu being quite long, you can also click on the menu then type the first letters of the desired channel to get there faster.
    • Only active channels are displayed (with at least one news less than a year old).
  3. Select a display template. Note: the display does not change in edit mode
    • Select the number of news :
      Note: The number of news items can only be defined for the template: Template listing
      Choose the number of news to display either by indicating a value (3 by default) or by sliding the cursor along the bar.
  4. Click on Display the link « all news » if you want to display a link to actu.epfl.ch
  5. Select the language of the news
  6. [Optional] If your news channel features sections, you can filter the display by selecting a section from the drop-down menu.
  7. [Optional] Theme Section: Click in the drop-down menu to filter news by theme
  8. [Optional] Category Section: Click on a category to turn on this filter.
    Note: Sections, Theme and category filters can be combined

This summer, EPFL and ETH Zurich will release a large language model (LLM) developed on public infrastructure. Trained on the “Alps” supercomputer at the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS), the new LLM marks a milestone in open-source AI and multilingual excellence.
