The Webex app is the communications software available to EPFL employees. It offers presence, instant messaging, voice and video communication and voicemail services.
The meeting feature is limited to 40 minutes if you are the host. Please use Zoom or MS-Teams instead.
The chat feature is independent of Jabber. No message forwarding, import/export are possible.

Install Webex
If you have a computer with Workspace ONE, the application should be installed. If not, you can download Webex application for Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
Request softphone accessories
To request a headset and / or webcam for a softphone in exchange for your hard phone or your old accessories. Request subject to internal approval.
Webex for Linux
The Linux version is available for Ubuntu and RedHat. No support provided.
Activation of a personal number
The activation of an EPFL personal number is automatic. The process of creating a personal number is linked to the accreditation property “Own a phone number”. This includes the possibility to have voice mail and Jabber for Windows, Mac, Android and iPad.
